People Massively Participate In Eidgah March

In occupied Kashmir, people massively participated in Eidgah March, today, to mark the martyrdom anniversaries of prominent Hurriyet leaders, Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq and Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone.
Call for the March was given by the All Parties Hurriyet Conference and it was also intended to demonstrate peoples’ rejection of India’s periodical polls drama in the occupied territory. Complete strike was observed on the occasion.
Amidst full-throated slogans in favour of Pakistan and liberation and against India, people in large numbers converged on the Mazar-e-Shuhada at Eidgah in Srinagar. The APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was brought there by thousands of people in a big procession from Jamia Masjid. Raising barricades at different entry points, the occupation authorities did not allow people to enter the city of Srinagar to prevent their participation in the gathering. Indian troops subjected many processions to brute force.
Addressing a mammoth gathering at the Mazar-e-Shuhada, the APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, while paying glowing tributes to the unprecedented sacrifices of the Kashmiri martyrs vowed to take their mission to its logical end. He urged the international community to come forward in a big way to resolve the Kashmir dispute. Other Hurriyet leaders including Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi and Nayeem Ahmed Khan also addressed the gathering. Earlier, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq unfurled a flag of Awami Action Committee in the premises of Islamia College at Hawal.
Senior Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, who continued to remain under house arrest, in his statement, appreciated the services of Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq and Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone for the Kashmir cause.
The APHC-AJK Chapter organized a function in Islamabad, which was presided over by the AJK Prime Minister, Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan. Senior APHC leader, Maulana Abbas Ansari was the chief guest. The speakers included Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar and Farooq Rehmani. The Executive Director of Kashmir Centre London, Professor Nazir Ahmed Shawl in a statement expressed confidence that the Kashmiris would never abandon Kashmiri martyrs’ mission.
